Angle of attack

How the term is used
Angle of attack strongly influences lift and stall margin. Sensors can provide data to flight-control, warning and display systems, but measured local angle and displayed values depend on aircraft design.
Where you may encounter it
Technicians protect probes during cleaning and ground work and use approved tests after disturbance.
Angle of attack is not the same as pitch attitude or flight-path angle.
