Information you provide
Account details may include your name, username, email address, profile type, biography, aircraft interests, contributions and optional professional information. Verification documents are stored privately and are not displayed publicly.
Public profile information
Information marked public may appear on member pages, resources, questions, answers and contributor rankings. Email addresses, private documents and full licence numbers are not shown publicly.
Security information
TechOpsBase stores hashed login-attempt identifiers, signed-in session records, password-reset tokens and account-security events. Raw passwords are never stored.
Platform analytics
TechOpsBase records aggregated daily page-view counts to understand which public sections are useful. The platform analytics table does not store IP addresses, advertising identifiers, device fingerprints or full user-agent strings. It records the public route, page category and whether the view came from a signed-in session.
Error monitoring
When a platform error occurs after the application has loaded, TechOpsBase may record a grouped technical event containing the affected route, request method, safe error message, file name, line number and the signed-in user ID when relevant. These records are restricted to administrators and are used for reliability and security troubleshooting.
Uploaded resources
Submitted PDFs are stored outside the public website and become downloadable only after moderation and publication. Rejected or archived resources remain inaccessible to normal visitors.
We use email for address verification, password recovery and important account notices. Email-delivery logs store a hash of the recipient address rather than the full address.
Retention and removal
Security logs, moderation history and contribution records may be retained to protect the platform and preserve auditability. Members may request account review or removal by contacting the site administrator.
External services
Embedded YouTube or TikTok content and links to external sites are governed by those services when you interact with them.
Advertising and sponsorship
TechOpsBase may display clearly labelled direct sponsorships or external advertising only when the monetization controls are deliberately enabled. Direct-sponsor measurement is limited to aggregate render and click counts and does not create a TechOpsBase cross-site advertising profile. External advertising networks may process data under their own policies and applicable consent requirements when enabled. See the Advertising & Sponsorship Policy.
