How the term is used
A pack can include control valves, heat exchangers, an air cycle machine, water separation and sensors. Architecture and terminology vary by aircraft.
Where you may encounter it
Technicians use system indications and approved tests to separate pack faults from pneumatic or control-system faults.
Hot pneumatic air and rotating equipment create hazards. Isolate and cool the system before access.
