How the term is used
An ACM commonly combines compressor and turbine stages on a shaft, sometimes with a fan. Heat exchangers and control valves manage temperature and pressure through the air-cycle process.
Where you may encounter it
Technicians evaluate pack indications, temperatures, pressures, noise and related control messages using approved procedures.
The unit can remain hot and rotate at very high speed. Observe cooling and access precautions.
