Original block diagrams can show major sources, consumers, control relationships and normal flow without reproducing an OEM drawing. Contributors can also use their own simplified terminology tables, concept maps and comparison notes. Every visual should be labelled as educational and simplified.

Do not trace, crop or redraw a controlled schematic closely enough to reproduce its protected content. The value should come from the contributor’s explanation, not copied data.

You can absolutely maintain high-value pneumatic study and training without touching proprietary, IP-protected, or export-controlled (ITAR/EAR) schematics. The key is shifting focus from hardware tracing to functional logic.

General explanation
Stick to ISO 1219-1 / ISO 14617 Standards: Instead of copying OEM-specific drafting styles, use standardized generic symbols. This teaches how a pilot-operated regulator or 3/2-way valve works logically without copying proprietary physical designs.Use Functional Block Diagrams (FBDs): Map the thermodynamic and air-flow sequence rather than physical pipe bends or wire pinouts.Example: [IP/HP Bleed Source] $\rightarrow$ [PRSOV] $\rightarrow$ [Precooler] $\rightarrow$ [Manifold].
