Understand what a TechOpsBase trust label actually means
TechOpsBase organizes educational knowledge and professional discussion. It does not replace approved maintenance data, company procedures, licences, authorizations or regulatory requirements.
Submitted by a member. Useful experience may be shared, but claims still require independent verification.
Checked for clarity, relevance, attribution and platform policy.
Reviewed by a contributor whose relevant professional evidence or subject expertise was approved by TechOpsBase.
Links to or summarizes material published by an authority, manufacturer, airline, organization or established publisher.
Kept for history or context and may no longer reflect current aircraft configurations, regulations or procedures.
Awaiting or undergoing a formal review before a stronger trust label can be applied.
A factual, safety, applicability, rights or identity concern is being reviewed.
Identity, experience and content review are different
Identity verification
Shows that TechOpsBase reviewed evidence connecting the account to a real person. It does not prove technical competence.
Professional verification
Shows that selected employment, licence or aircraft-experience evidence was reviewed. It does not grant authorization to maintain or certify aircraft.
Subject expertise
Shows reviewed experience related to specified aircraft, engines or ATA chapters. Expertise is scoped; it is not a universal endorsement.
Content review
Applies to one specific resource, answer, video classification, learning path or briefing. A verified author does not make every future statement reviewed.
References are recorded without claiming ownership
Structured references may record the publisher, document title, number, revision, publication date, aircraft applicability and public URL. Linking or citing a controlled document does not give TechOpsBase permission to host it.
Official public links, open licences, permission and original ownership are treated separately. Copyright or distribution concerns can be reported through the governance workflow.
How reports are handled
- A signed-in member submits a specific concern and supporting detail.
- High-risk unsafe or copyright reports may temporarily quarantine supported content when platform safeguards are met.
- An administrator reviews the content, source, applicability and account history.
- The report is corrected, rejected, escalated or resolved by unpublishing the content.
- The decision and reason are written to the governance revision log.
