How the term is used
An AMO approval specifies ratings, locations, limitations and privileges. The organization must maintain facilities, personnel, tooling, data, procedures and quality controls required by its authority.
Where you may encounter it
Technicians work under the AMO procedures and individual authorization applicable to the task and location.
An organization name or customer contract does not prove approval for a specific aircraft, component or task.
