How the term is used
Rigid or flexible borescopes allow inspection through access ports without major disassembly. Image quality depends on access, lighting, focus, orientation and operator technique.
Where you may encounter it
Technicians record location, orientation, dimensions and images so findings can be evaluated against limits.
A distorted view or uncertain location can lead to incorrect assessment. Use approved access and interpretation criteria.
